Description:

Seeking an ICC special inspector with 2 years of experience and a reinforced concrete certification . Ideal candidates will have prior experience for a geotechnical engineering or materials testing company. Perform testing, inspection, and field observations during construction. - Perform testing on materials including, soils, reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, metal decking, roofing and asphalt paving-Inspect and review construction sites for compliance-Coordinate and interact with contractors in field- Write Daily Field Reports documenting work performed by the various contractors and indicating compliance/non-compliance with contract documents- Coordinate with the department manager about progress of projects.-Ability to lift up to 50lbs to transport material samples, and move nuclear densometer.-Will be expected to carry nuclear densometer (25lbs) short distances. -ACI OR ICC cert -Experience with reinforced concrete preferred

2 years experience in construction inspection.Experience with 1 of the following:- Concrete testing, - reinforced concrete. - OBOA or WABO certification or able to get it within a few months.- Nuclear Density Gauge training and certification a plus- valid driver's licenseMust have 1 of the following certificates: - American Concrete Institute (ACI)- Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I-Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation.OR ONE of the following ICC Certifications• Reinforced Concrete• Structural Masonry• Pre-stressed/Post-tensioned Concrete• Structural Steel Bolting• Structural Steel WeldingOR one of the following AWS-CWI Welding with construction inspection experience A PLUSOBOA (Oregon Building Officials Association), WABO (WA Association of Building Officials), ODOT Certifications A PLUS
